Algarve Chefs Week 2015

The "Algarve Chefs Week 5.0" is back April 26 to May 3, for an edition that marks the five years of the initiative. This 5th edition will bring together 10 top Chefs Restaurant Business, located in some of the finest hotels in the Algarve, to create a signature menu inspired by the typical ingredients of the region.

Algarve Chefs WeekFor a week, 10 restaurants of selected hotels present special menus, offering a fusion of unique flavors and a maridage of regional wines. As a way to celebrate what the Algarve has to offer, the Chefs will create menus based on five of the most characteristic products of the region - Flor de Sal, Figo Dry, carob, Beans and Orange.

Preceding this gastronomic week, "Algarve Chefs Week" for the first time will feature Gastronomy Workshops, attended by 10 executive chef, and that will take place in Loulé market on days 4, 11 and 18 April, Saturdays from 15 hours. Participants will learn to confecionar a starter, a main course and a dessert, always based on the best flavors the south of the country has to offer (Detailed program of workshops below).

To mark the anniversary of this initiative, will be released a cookbook with a compilation of dishes created over 5 years of "Algarve Chefs Week".

The official launch of the "Algarve Chefs Week 5.0" will take place on April 25, Saturday, in the Loulé Market, where from 10 am Chefs guests will take to prove to everyone present some of the specialties created for the culinary event below.

Menus "Algarve Chefs Week" will be available in the restaurants of the participating hotels, the week of April 26 to May 3, only for dinner. The menus have a value of 30 € per person without drinks included and, as in previous editions, 1 € of the total value of each meal will revert to the Association CASA, Centre for Homelessness.
