The International Algarve Fair

The International Algarve Fair is the largest annual event for the international community held in Portugal

The annual International Algarve Fair is again just around the corner and this year the theme is Amazing Algarve and everything that is truly amazing about the region will be found in all its glory at the fair.

Many local artisans producing regional handicrafts have jumped on board this year in a bid to showcase the best of what Algarvians have to offer creativity-wise, including a number of stands offering typical regional sweets, cured meats and cheeses.

Many different types of wines from the Algarve will also be available to try and buy, from several of the region’s leading producers – the perfect accompaniment to the meats and cheeses.

A brand new concept introduced this year is the Outdoor Living area, where visitors will be able to peruse and purchase everything needed to create a leisurely and stunning outdoor home space.

Spas, mobile homes, pools, outdoor furniture, decking, swimming pools, awnings, barbeques, a luxury Martini bar and a shaded seating area should provide all the inspiration one could possibly need to turn a patio or a garden into a mini-paradise.

The International Algarve Fair is attended by many thousands of visitors every year, and the 8th Fair in June 2013 broke all visitor attendance records despite the state of the economy. The guiding principle has always been to provide a really enjoyable day out for all the family with a wide variety of things to do and see for every age group.

Many restaurants, stage shows, the Algarve Dog Show, over 120 stands from the best companies serving the foreign community, kids entertainment, all this and much more.

This year the International Algarve Fair takes place on the weekend of 7 and 8 June, at the Fatacil exhibition grounds in Lagoa, Algarve.

Doors open from 11am till 7pm both Saturday and Sunday; tickets cost €3 per adult, children aged 12 or under are free.
